Hello Everyone! Happy Friday.  Hope your week is going well.

Another ipleadthedesign post today and the theme is gallery walls.  In my opinion gallery walls are one of the most customizable aspects in a home or space and they show of the personality or life story of the person displaying the pictures.  With gallery walls there are endless possibilities! You can use prints, paintings, photography, etc.  They are also great ways to personalize a space that is temporary to make it feel more like home and are great conversation starters.  An amazing online shop which I’m sure everyone has heard of,  Society 6 is a great place to shop for amazing prints, pictures, and paintings while supporting artists at the same time by buying their art.  I’ve put together 3 gallery wall themes that can be used as inspo if you’re looking to create a gallery wall of your own.  I know I want to make my own very soon!

As usual all links will be below! Hope you enjoy and have a fantastic weekend!

Hello everyone and Happy Friday!

I hope you all had a great week.  Mine has been pretty chill just working and coming up with some more blog content. When I was thinking about creating my blog, I always thought it would be strictly fashion, nothing else.  Fashion doesn’t fully represent me as a person and it’s not my only passion.  Just to give a little insight into my life and my background, I’ve always been into interior design, it’s my first love and passion.  I actually graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UNC Greensboro in 2015 and worked as a visual merchandiser for Value City Furniture my first year after college.  So coming from an interior design background, I thought I’d start posting more interior related posts.  I want this blog to be representative of who I am and show more of my passions.

Now onto the post….  Another thing about me is that I love mid century modern design.  For those who don’t know mid century modern is an era of design that is focused on the mid 20th century.  It became a design movement that included furniture, architecture and even graphic design.  My favorite designers that were truly iconic for mid century modern furniture and architecture are Charles and Ray Eames.  Everything about MCM is absolutely amazing from the colors to the textures.  I find it very versatile as well as MCM pieces can be seen in alot of design scenarios to add a retro touch to any space.

My favorite combo would have to be something I like to call Mid Century Boho.  Simply means mixing MCM with pieces that are more boho inspired like I’ve done here.  I have the modern pieces: the sofa, accent chair and console table and countered it wih more boho pieces: the copper side tables, macrame/concrete planter and tassled rug.

I hope you all enjoy this post and I’m excited about the new direction my blog is taking, and I’m ready to see where it goes.  Have a fantastic weekend!

Good Morning all and Happy Friday!

Anyone excited for Mother’s Day this year?!  I know I am!   Of course we should all show love for our mothers everyday of the year, but this holiday is a great time to show them how extra special they are.  Mother’s Days is just around the corner and I’m still contemplating on what to give my mom.  I’ve always found it easier to shop for her than my dad, but sometimes I have no clue what to get her as a gift… like this year!  I’ve put together a guide of a few items that would be great to give as a gift.  They’re all not super expensive either so you won’t break the bank which is always a plus.  If you can’t find the perfect gift, remember you can always make something.  DIY gifts are some of the best presents to receive.  It’s the thought that counts right?

As usual all links will be below.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

This season Zara has come out with a great selection of statement jackets that are on trend and they have everything from parkas to bomber jackets.  I’ve selected 6 jackets that I thought would work into most wardrobes and take any outfit to next level of awesome!

I hope you all enjoy this post as well as your week.

  1. Flowing Jacket with Ruffled Sleeves
  2. Oversized Printed Bomber Jacket
  3. Ruffled Denim Jacket
  4. Jacket with Frilled Sleeves
  5. Leather Effect Jacket
  6. Embroidered Velvet Bomber Jacket

Hello everyone! Welcome to another segment of  Tempting Trends, where I choose five items within a current trend that I personally love.  This time it’s mules and slides.  I’m loving this trend so much, it first started out with those Gucci loafers everyone loved…. and hated so much.  Since then the trend has grown and includes a more wide variety of styles for everyone, from casual and comfy to athletic.

I chose 5 styles that I personally love from the store DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse)!  I can’t express how much I love this place.  No matter what you are looking for, DSW is most likely going to have it and bonus…the prices are AMAZING!  You get designer shoes at non designer prices, which I’m down for since I’m ballin’ on a budget.  If you don’t have a DSW near you, you can shop online.  If you do have one near you make sure you definately check it out if you haven’t….ps….their clearance section is the bomb!!  I’ve always found something great in clearance.

As usual all links will be below.  Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hello Everyone! Hope you all are well.  Sorry this post is a day late, but we had some technical difficulties getting the pics uploaded, but we’re back on track now.  Anyways, I’m so excited that it’s finally starting to get warmer! The only thing is sometimes it feels like these days the weather jumps from Winter to Summer and we don’t get enough of those cooler Spring days.  I guess I shouldn’t complain… as long as I get to bring out my Spring wardrobe. This day was so nice, and I wanted a chance to style this cool Thrasher tee I got from a friend since he didn’t want it.  It’s a mens XL but I tried to make it work by tying the front in a knot to define my waistline.  I threw on my white sneakers and highwaisted jeans and this look was good to go!

Hope you all enjoy your week,
