Happy Friday! Hope you are all doing well. I’m very excited for Spring and the warm weather to come. We’ve been having some weird out-of-season warm weather here in NC lately! It’s nice, but not at the same time because my nice winter clothes have to stay stored in the closet. On the days it has felt cooler, I’ve been wearing outfits like this. My distressed denim jacket from Shein is like my ultimate cool girl jacket! I’ve always wanted a really distressed piece like this but was scared to do it myself on my own clothes so the fact that this one from Shein was only $20 I thought it was worth the purchase. I definately have gotten my wear out of this thing. Underneath I’ve put a basic stripe t-shirt from Target. I’m a little obsessed with stripes! To bring the look together I wore my highwaisted black skinny jeans from Madewell. For shoes I wanted to contrast the distressed almost grunge look with my sleek Franco Sarto mules. I’m obsessed with the mules trend right now and found this awesome pair for under $100! Franco Sarto shoes are probably some of the most comfy shoes I own and these mules are the third pair in my collection.

Camo is slowly becoming a thing in my wardrobe. Something very cool and badass about it and paired with dark denim..perfect! To elevate the look, I decided to throw on my black heeled booties from Nine West. I finished off the outfit with my super duper warm faux fur lined parka from Gap.
Happy Friday!! Hope you all are well. This outfit is centered around denim which I have wayyyyy too much of in my closet…ok I lied you can never have too much. It’s timeless, goes with pretty much anything, and easy to just throw on and go. On this day it was cold and rainy and I just wanted to be casual and comfy while also being warm. For this denim on denim look I paired my favorite oversized denim jacket from Madewell, which I love, with my new highwaisted mom jeans from Pac Sun. They’re both pretty similar in wash which made this look even more perfect! Underneath I wore a striped short sleeve hoodie and under that a plain white long sleeve tee to keep warm.
Now these Converse sneakers aren’t your ordinary Converse. I got them on clearance at DSW.. SCORE! and…wait for it….they’re a pearly satin finish!! What?? I definately had to get them! They’re more of a “fancier” version of the traditional white hightops.

Hey Everyone! Welcome to ipleadthefro.com. Starting this blog has been a brain child of mine for years and now I’ve finally built up the courage I’m beyond excited to share it with you all! Here you’ll see outfit posts showing my personal style, think of it as my style diary. Feel free to post comments and give feedback. I’m new to the blogging world and I want to make sure my content is as great as it possibly can.
Anyways on to the first post…I’d say this outfit kind of shows my style perfectly..tshirt, jeans, sneakers..Easy! Most times I like to just get up and go and look effortless at the same time. I usually don’t go for crop tee, but this one by Calvin Klein is great. I got it from Pacsun, who by the way carry some awesome CK gear. This pair of jeans from Madewell is one of my favs for many reasons. They’re highwaisted, a nice dark wash, and the best part they have a “dropped hem” which is very trendy right now. This super thick flannel I found in the women’s section at Forever 21 thinking it was a women’s medium, but ended up being a men’s medium. It’s oversized and comfy just how I like it. Best accidental purchase ever!
